Yida, I don't blame you for the my state.
Life goes on and after losing something important, maybe I should find other important things or wait for them to come my way so that my chess is not for myself, but fighting for that goal. I rmb that during NTU, RCup, I fought for my ex-class who cheered me on after every round, especially NTU. The whole class gathered on that saturday and cheered for me to win.

Let's all work hard and enjoy chess together. What's important is not the result, but going the distance and the process of fighting on the board. It's the content, not the conclusion. Good content gives a L4/10 already. The L5/12 is just the conclusion marks.

I won't regret it a single bit if I lost to any of you in the future because I've done my best and I've put in my all in the game itself.

And CTX is right, I have many problems that not anyone can solve.

I really hope this blog won't become a blog which will cause arguments, otherwise this blog would have completely defeated its own purpose.

I think we all don't understand KMK enough. He has a lot of problems and things on his mind of his own, without needing to consider about others' welfare and thoughts and what not.

Honestly this is just my personal opinion. Things will probably be a lot simpler if each of you would do your best in each game, even if it's against one another. With your "duo1 nian2 de4 jiao1 qing2", I'm sure it's not going to be difficult to come to an understanding - that the best man ought to win.

But I'm not exactly in a good position to speak, seeing how I've never been in a such situation(Nobody wants to draw with me cuz they all know they can tok4 me=( haha).

And tyl is right, you two had better not disappoint me. Especially when it comes to the farewell gifts!

Eh...no personal attacks meant here...but i quite agree with mk...unless i can guarantee myself a win, i will not draw also. PF and co. never drew when they were level on pts...always one guy will pump pf up cause they all acknowledge that he can sustain it there. Even though we are now in different schs, taking different paths...but we are still friends. But somethings, we cant do it just because we know each other well. It will be unfair to the rest much as it is unfair to the both parties...

Anyway...on a happier note...congrats to YYH for becoming president, and SYD for becoming VP. Haha so all of us here hold, or formerly held an exco position....not bad... Do ur job well ah...dun make dy disappointed...haha.

I kinda feel that I personally should stop drawing against any of you guys.
Cos I'm not respecting myself by not letting myself get what my skills deserve.

Ever since I lost that SP blitz match. I lost that significance that I was fighting for.
Winning or not is not important to me already. I can pump you all up if you like.

But I must respect myself. I don wanna regret losing like that anymore.
Even if I'm confirmed champ, I'll still do my best in the game.

That SP match meant alot to me. Though on paper it wasn't important, it was really important and it's an impact that totally changes my life. It isn't anyone's fault but myself to lose that game.

When I drew round 5, I have to admit it was reluctant because I don't want to lose out in opp pts. I was questioning myself, that if yida had higher opp pts than me, would he draw out his last match and fall behind if I had won my last match and let me be champ.

I don't really wanna know the answer. I don't have anything or anyone to fight for in chess already. The significance is gone and I've not come to terms with it. I really got nothing much left. Yida and Yonghua are in NJ. My PAE class is split up. TYL is busy.

Someone told me in the morning today.

"Are they your friends if they ask you to draw and you slowly rot away half point here and there? You might think for them and agree to draw, but are they thinking for you? People are selfish, you are plain stupid."

12 times is not impossible.
Rcup is 20+ yrs already.
Though you factored in denial of triple win.
You didn't factor in individual year wins that aren't in a row.
I believe 12 is quite possible.

Please la, those people come chess club to slack one lor, you can tell de... Only those abit better ones (e.g. Thai Yong, Adrian) come to train one. The rest I think all is forced to come or something de. -.- Sad life sia. But Cat High chess club still rocks la. Our batch anyway. LoL. GONG JIAO!!

Dunno about the amt of times we won thing la. But come to think of it twelve times is a little extreme la, Raffles Cup only like 10+ times so far. LoLs. Maybe they included the Blitz category, I dunno.

Alright....

Alright....that was pretty much expected of them....Nowadays nobody seem to have the level of passion we had for chess last time...

Main thing is to train up tht Adrian, and also Dayong and Guo Jie.......they are our only source of hope i guess...

And...i can bet with you it can never be 12 times...cause we were denied winning the treble thrice... (2x3=6) from 2002-2003, and twice in the 1990s..........and we won on 3 seperate ocassions.... 2005 being the most recent...so i think shld be abt 9...
Aiya not important...reviving the old times is still top priority...
But dun over-stress urselves ah...haha seeya ;)

Actually... Today training was not really very good... Yea, the guys are like forced to come like that. I got one guy screaming that it is 10a.m and he can go... WTF lah.. You can tell there is ZERO passion in chess for him, piss me off sia.. But i think there are still interested ones and WELL, we are going to continue to go back AND do the best we can... GONG JIAO!!

Btw, we won the r-cup i think only the most 5 or 6 years nia.. 12 times is probably they go take the actually and x2, some sort of a desperate attempt to get members... lol, something like you got the "dd" rune and you go bia some guy that is at least 3 levels above you... :D Let them be lah, who cares wat they claim.. If they can get more members, they can write like 50 times (Cat high wasn't even formed lol) for all i care sia..

I saw on their chess club poster they won 12 times for R cup and 7 times for SP. Not sure if true anot. Go ask them.

First training session. Whoohoo. Great. Wonderful. We ended up playing chess one on one then went off to play soccer/bball. Heh. But I think YYH got new tu dis. LoL.

Anyone knows EXACTLY how many times Cat High has won Rcup so far? Did we surpass RI in the no. of times? Haha just realised tht its quite interesting to compile such stats...

Homecoming

Well, today.. or rather yesterday, was our cat high homecoming! Not bad sia, there was a crowd at least, not like our year where the whole school is "so filled".. Man, i think Dota have "conquered" Cat high sia, i bet almost all cat high plays dota... they even installed wc3 in the comp lab and have a lan stall, siao de, wat a dota culture sia.. And god damn our chess club is screwed by dota too... Fuk who on earth called sean to tag along today?!
