wat they use to maintain the high pressure?

do dey use air particles to maintain the high pressure?
use air particles of normal air? or inert gases? maybe dey use normal air with higher oxygen, cos pressure is lower than atmospheric rite, at such a high level.. so more oxygen den higher entrophy or wat? den ppl can take in? aiya confusing.
